Your Lovely, Dear Friend

Finally,
There she stood,
Just feet away,
I could finally show my anger,

This would make me most happy,
Ironically a lovely woman,
But hell,
I was asking nothing but simple love.

Finally,
There she stood,
Transfixed in a heap of grass and cleats,
She seemed perplexed,
Just feet away.

Sometimes I wonder what would have been,
Of the girl I came to scorn, as if a
Black Beast had bestowed in me.

Finally,
There she stood,
Paralyzed with absence of time,
She had no idea of my presence,
Or the malicious thoughts of mine.

I wish I could have seen the face,
Her emotion when I informed her
Of my apathy and fatigue,
She has rid me of my lack thereof
And compelled in my many regrets.

Finally,
There she stood,
After the long anticipated wait,
But I looked away and kept on walking,
For I felt the bigger person,
Just feet away.

I gave up the chance,
To show my anger.
